Brojen Das was the first Asian to swim across the English Channel. He was born on 9 December 1927 in Kuchiamora village of Bikrampur, Munshiganj, in East Pakistan (Bangladesh). He was son of late Harendra Kumar Das, and did his primary education in his native village. He completed his matriculation in 1946 from the KL Jubilee High School, Dhaka and Intermediate and Bachelor of Arts from Vidyasagar College, Kolkata.

Prof. M. Shamsher Ali have more than twenty one years of teaching experience at the University level and another twenty one years of experience of work in a multi disciplinary research institution (Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission). Prof. Ali was the Founder Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University which grew from humble beginnings to a campus of almost two hundred thousands students enrolled in various disciplines thus reflecting the interest of people in Distance Education and Open Learning. Prof. Ali have already taken necessary steps to make the Southeast University (SEU) the first Dual Mode University in the country.

Ishrat Hoque (Rakhi) has been training in performance art since the age of 4. She began her education at the prestigious Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts of Dhaka, Bangladesh in the Indian Classical dance forms Kathak and Bharatanatayam. Pandit Satya Narayan Charka, Smt. Maya Rao (India) and Smt. Selvi Chandranathan are Masters she has trained under. Alongside her continued training in dance, Rakhi is also an educator and choreographer.
