Independent University, Bangladesh – also known by its acronym IUB. is a private sector university with its main campus in Dhaka and an extended campus in Chittagong. Presently it consistes of Scool of Business, Environmental SCience & Management, Engineering & Computer Science, Liberal arts and science.

The International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) is one of the Government approved Private Universities in Bangladesh. The credit for the idea of establishing this University goes to INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY CHITTAGONG TRUST (IIUCT) which is the founder organization and sponsoring authority of the University.Presently it consists of Faculty of Shariah, Modern Science, Administrative Science, Arts and Humanities, Law and Arabic Language Institute

IUBAT - International University of Business Agriculture and Technology is the first non government university established in Bangladesh. IUBAT is organized into colleges and centers. Presently, there are six colleges: College of Business Administration (CBA), College of Agricultural Science (CAS), College of Engineering And Technology (CEAT), College of Nursing (CN), College of Arts and Sciences (CAAS), College of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Jahangirnagar University was launched at a time when the country was going through the throes of a great political upheaval that led to the birth of our nation - Bangladesh. It was caught in the middle of two crucial events in our history -- the mass movement of the late sixties, and the post-independence effort at consolidation involving a great deal of sacrifice, austerity and hard work. Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) is a government approved private university, which has been sponsored and founded by International Business Agriculture & Technology (IBAT) Trust.
