Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics collects, compile and disseminate all kinds of information and statistics relating to post primary stages of education in Bangladesh.and also to act as the Coordinator in the UIS ( UNESCO Institute for Statistics) activities.

The Madrasah Education Board started its activity independently in 1979. With the passage of time of Madrasah Education, in 1978 humanity and science faculty are included in Alim level and in 1980, Fazil degree was given the standard of Education of H.S.C level. Madrasah Education Board approved the permission/recognition/renewal of Dakhil (S.S.C level) Alim (H.S.C level) according the rules of Govt. All the educational activities of both Fazil and Kamil are conducted by the Madrasah Education Board up to 2006.

Bangladesh Technical Education Board came into existence with the jurisdiction over the entire area of Bangladesh to organize, supervise, regulate, control and develop technical and vocational education. The Board in its present form became operative with effect form June 1969.

Directorate of Inspection and Audit has been established under the administrative control of the Ministry of Education in order to conduct, on a regular basis, survey and inspection of all educational institutions (except Universities) in receipt of Government grant or aid in any form or manner.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) is under the overall supervision and guidance of the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Secondary and Higher education system of Bangladesh is being managed and administered by the Directorate of Secondary & Higher Education (DSHE).The Directorate is headed by a Director General who is responsible for administration, management and control of secondary and higher education including madrashas (institutions imparting religious education) and other special types of education.

Education Engineering Department under the ministry of Education is the prime department of constructing educational building in Bangladesh.Over about fifty years education engineering department (EED) had successfully set the trend and standard in the country's educational infrastructure development.It plays a vital role in the implementation educational construction works under the colse supervision of the ministry of education.
